The Northampton subdivision, which is in Harris County, is home to about 5,000 people from many walks of life. It is divided into: Northampton Estates, Inway Forest of Northampton, Northampton Forest, Northampton Place, Sterling Ridge at Northampton, Terrace of Northampton Estates, and Woods of Northampton.

Run by the Northampton Municipal Utility District, Inway Recreation Complex, features a 24-hour fitness center, pool, and tennis courts nestled among the trees. The center may be used by residents.

West Park includes a five-acre lake. Trails surround the lake and several benches are available for park-goers enjoyment. The park includes a pier and a pavilion.

Northcrest Pool includes a heated pool. A toddler pool, a picnic area, and a playground are also on the ground. The pool can also be rented for parties.

Home prices in Northampton range from around $160,000 to over $1 million. Lot and home sizes vary considerably; homes range from modest three bedrooms at 2,000 square feet or less to estate homes with six bedrooms, six baths, and a four car garage.

Many of the estate homes now available are near or next to Willow Creek Golf Club. Traditional and Mediterranean home styles are the most popular in Northampton.

Inway Recreation Complex: This recreation center, run by the Northampton Municipal Utility District (MUD), boasts a 24 hour fitness center, a pool with life guards and toddler pool, and two tennis courts nestled among the trees. The center may be used by residents for a user fee.

West Park: This lovely park at the front of the subdivision boasts a five-acre stocked lake. Two trails surround the lake and many benches are available for park-goers enjoyment. The park features a small pavilion and a pier which can be reserved.

Northcrest Pool: This recreation facility features a twenty-five yard heated pool with life guards. A toddler wading pool, a playground and a picnic area are also on the ground.  Residents of Northampton pay an annual user fee to enjoy these facilities. The pool can also be rented for parties.

Centre Park: This park is next to the Northcrest Pool facility. It features a waterfall and creek, as well as a jogging and walking trail surrounding the lake. A little pavilion which is handicapped accessible overlooks the lake; it can be reserved for special occasions.

Willow Creek Golf Club: This private club is nestled next to some of the homes in Northampton Estates. Willow Creek offers a beautiful, challenging course surround by woodlands and wildlife. The family-oriented club has activities for all ages. Lunch is available at The Grill, which also offers fine dining every Friday evening. 

The Spring area is currently served by four major hospitals: Conroe Regional Medical Center, Tomball Regional Medical Center, St. Luke’s The Woodlands Hospital, and Memorial Hermann Hospital - The Woodlands. M.D. Anderson Radiation Treatment Center is located on the St. Luke’s The Woodlands’ campus. Northampton residents are looking forward to the opening of Texas Children’s Hospital - West Campus in 2010.
